AMFW - Part III

Another show that I loved was Maki Oh's, by Amaka Osakwe. The collection is refreshing and very chic at the same time, with the use of many materials such as velvet, lace or silk.
As a matter of fact, it won the Designer of the Year Award. Well deserved.

Fellow Senegalese Adama Paris was all about black and see-through pieces for her latest collection. Slickly daring.

The House of Silk presentation and its cocktail dresses were red carpet worthy. Ambellished ankara, sequin and floral silk here, capes and feathers there... It has been a beautiful first appearance for Jennifer Adighije overall.

Tie-dye everything at Amede's show ! This one was actually interesting because in Senegal - as far as I am concerned - I see these types of fabrics on clothes that are made to stay at home; so the fact that they are declined as ready-to-wear items here is almost genius to me.

Star-studded Jewel By Lisa did not deceive, as usual, with pieces you might soon spot on your favorite fashion icons, from June Ambrose to Angela Simmons. Ms Folawiyo always provides clothes wearable on a woman's daily grind, and it can explain her huge success.

Another favorite: the Mustapha Hassanali show. The noted Tanzanian designer presented a colorful collection of long, loose dresses for the most. Supermodel Oluchi ripped the runway for him.
