In the February '11 issue of
Vogue US, there is a fabulous editorial by
Mario Testino, noted Peruvian fashion photographer, with 30 goregous models styled with
Dona Karan,
Ralph Lauren and
Proenza Schouler.
There are the 'gangs' of brunettes, the blonds, the red-haired, the asian girls, the 'sexy' girls, the Renaissance ones, and of course the Black girls.
The last ones feature
Joan Smalls,
Ajak Deng,
Arlenis Sosa,
Chanel Iman,
Anais Mali,
Jourdan Dunn and
Sessilee Lopez. Now if you don't know them all, you might keep their names in mind, because they are the new faces of that growing community of black models.
